In another post I introduced the Power Virtual Agent. Which is a nice tool for business users to build simple chat bots. One big feature that it is missing is standard integration with Qna Maker.But since we can call Power Automate Flows, there is a work around. Let’s have a look how.

  1. Hi,

    Many thanks for the vid its excellent!
    One question i noticed you did a copy and paste for the parse JSON any chance you could send me a notepad file with the outputs please i’m struggling what you did?

    1. Hi Stuart,
      Here you go.

      {
      "type": "object",
      "properties": {
      "answers": {
      "type": "array",
      "items": {
      "type": "object",
      "properties": {
      "answer": {
      "type": "string"
      },
      "score": {
      "type": "number"
      }
      }
      }
      }
      }
      }

      BTW: I’ll update the video soon. Someone told me there is a QnA maker connector within Flow. Which I did not know.
      If you use that one, you don’t need to use the parse function.

  2. Hi Sammy,

    Super helpful video…
    Have you manged to do an update using the QnA maker connector as of yet?

    I’d love to try a build using that but have gotten a bit lost on how to set it all up…

    1. I have managed to update it with QnA Maker Connector. I’ll try to make a video this weekend. Keep posted!

      1. Did you manage to make that demo with QnA maker connector in Flow? This seems much more straight forward than all the individual HTTP and JSON transformations

  3. Sammy ,

    I have managed to connect the Power Virtual Agent with the Q and A maker, But there are few follow up prompts in my Q and A maker. Is there a way to get that in Power Virtual Agent ?
